“Begin by considering
the lay of the land and water. Study the works of past masters
and recall the places of beauty that you know. Then, on your
chosen site, let memory speak and make into your own that which
moves you most. ”
From the writings of
an 11th century Japanese noble
Join us for this two-day workshop if you are drawn
to stories and want to nourish your creativity.
During this weekend
workshop we will venture into the landscape of story as we discover
and uncover the art and techniques that
are the groundwork for our storytelling. We will learn through
hands-on, voice-on and ear-on activities, creating an encouraging
and appreciative story-community for our time together.
All are welcome: teachers, poets, librarians, artists, ministers,
storytellers - all those who love stories.
